When you think Bundaberg Rum, you probably think 'Bundy and Coke'. But there's more to this much-loved rum than a pub classic. With bold plans to develop its profile within the premium spirits category, Bundaberg Rum engaged Upstairs Yellow to not just capture the imaginations of their diehard fans, but to stretch them.
Their challenge to us was to "... make the best rum blending kit & case/bag that has ever been constructed in the free world." So, we set to work to set a new standard.
We knew the best way to excite Bundy lovers was to include them, so we sketched, designed and thought outside the box to create 'The Rumbassador's Blending Kit.
Expertly crafted and beautifully presented, the kit became a blending lab and tool chest to develop new rum blends - created by fans and shared with mates.
Inspired by the materials and tools that make Bundaberg Rum so unique, the kit's exterior design echoes the steel narrow gauge railway that delivers sugarcane to the refinery. Inside were three unique and rare rum blends presented with premium glassware and a cocktail kit reminiscent of the Bundaberg copper still.
Guided by our conversations with the Master Distillers Collective, we completed the kit with a collection of laboratory grade tools which offered a truly authentic blending experience.
