It’s not just the world’s biggest tennis stars that come to play at The Australian Open — the world’s biggest brands do too! For two fun and colourful weeks, we were tasked to make Italy’s Iconic Aperitif, Aperol, shine brightest.
Leveraging the brand’s distinctive orange colour and heritage aesthetic, we created a range of premium tennis-themed products that caught eyes and turned heads from the airport to centre court.
Utilising multiple local and global manufacturers we maintained a laser focus on making sure the signature ‘Aperol Orange’ was consistently bold and bright across a range of materials. This included finding bespoke solutions like weaving our own custom dyed yarn umbrella canopies.
Every product was designed to be as practical and portable as it was beautiful. From a lightweight and easy-to-assemble Aperol Pop-up bar, to Umpire chairs that can cleverly be used either as bar stools or retail displays (when you swap out the steps with shelves). Luxe rose gold detailing on sunglasses and vintage style valances on umbrellas were sourced to achieve that classic aperitivo sophistication, synonymous with Aperol.
From concept ideation, product design and testing through to product manufacturing and fulfilment, we served up an unexpected and unmissable campaign for Aperol, delivered on brief, time and budget.
